Sleek design, a few quirks though

I love the appearance of this range. It exudes a feeling of high quality. It took a little time to figure out the controls. Reading the manual is a must if you plan to use the 'easy convect' options. I have yet to successfully convection-cook anything. Both my attempts failed. Roasted potatoes didn't crisp and muffins failed to cook in the middle. (I stick to the manual convection cooking now, ...

Safety Hazzard Very Dangerous

I enjoy everything about this range EXCEPT the fact that if the power blinks while you have a top burner in use the gas valves closes, flame goes out, and then since the power comes right back on the gas valve opens back up and allows gas to fill your house since there is no longer a flame! This is extremely dangerous! Poor design!!!! Kitchenaid should have a fix for this before it causes someone ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the stove a couple of montha ago as a replacement. I do like the way it cooks, both top and bottom. However, it is difficult to remove the top grate because of an additional medal piece on both sides. The grate doesn't put out.

    Love this appliance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) After a couple of months of owning this range I am still thrilled about it. The burners are great sizes with good BTU's, the dual oven is very convenient for cooking at a variety of temperatures at the same time and even the small oven is more than big enough to cook a dinner for 4 with ease. And to top it off, it looks great. For the price range it is truly impressive.

    Don't buy it!

I bought this range in January. Neither oven holds or maintains temperature especially the lower oven which can drop 50 degrees or more without opening the door. And once the temp drops, the oven does not kick back on to bring it back to the temp set. The upper oven is so small I burn myself almost every time I use it. And turning the oven light on is useless because you can't see what you are cooking - just too small and awkward to use. And the steam feature -- really not a feature. You could put your own pan in the lower rack and add water. It is under warranty. I had all of the internal mechanics replaced by a certified repairman and the problem was not corrected. I probably could push for a replacement - but why would I want the same range. I don't recommend it. I'm a baker. I need a reliable oven. This isn't it.

Nice oven and have always loved the gas burners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an 18 yr old Jennair dual fuel double oven with this KitchenAid. I am happy with it but wish it had come with a manual! I’m figuring out the controls but I am a read the instructions person! I miss the proofing option that I had on the Jennair oven. But I just preheat an oven a bit, cut it off, and that worked.

    This fits my dreams perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting an electric convection oven with a gas cooktop. This fits my dreams perfectly. It bakes super fast and evenly. Naturally, the gas top burners are fantastic. We love the controls mounted on top behind the burners. My only complaint was the installation. The gas regulator was NOT like the instruction described, however we were successful in completing the install. The double oven is very convenient, however, watch your toes, the lower oven door handle, touches the floor.

    Don’t be stingy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my stove for approximately 6 weeks. I am concerned about the scratches the grates make when I remove them to clean. Also, it’s a minor thing to some, but it’s important to me as I age. I paid a good chunk of money for this range. WHY CANT YOU INCLUDE A “about your stove” booklet. Why should I have to look it up on line??? This is not the way save money! You are asking us to print a 30+page booklet. Or… look up questions on the computer. It would be really useful to have a booklet to refer to

Dual fuel in. Glass cook top out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dual duel range to replace a glass top version of the same model. Love the precision of the gas range. Superb results in every dish over the glass cook top. Touch keys on control panel responsive to the lightest touch. Just love it.

Very good stove but it needs some tweaking to be p

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In general a very good stove. A couple minor things I would change (have a separate timer for each oven, not have the separate stove top grates lock together. It requires you remove both grates in order to clean underneath.) My husband says the top of the stove which is stainless steel is much harder to clean than our prior stove which had a ceramic top.

    Don't Hesitate to buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this after having a gas stove & oven for 11 years and it baking/broiling poorly. Baked at 50 degrees to cold....That's alot!! It was time for a new stove. My husband has always wanted a dual fuel stove. And they are hard to come by with 2 ovens, which was my requirement. We found this one hoping it came in black to match our other appliances, which it didn't. But with the black glass stove doors and back of the stove is black, we thought it would compliment the others, Which it does. First and foremost, I Love the ovens!! We have baked and broiled and everything comes out perfectly. Love the inside color of the ovens, its cobalt blue, gorgeous!! The griddle cooks evenly, its nice having a lighter weight griddle than our last heavy one. The preheat setting heats up pretty fast, and the stove top is easy to clean. I do have a couple cons, based from my last stove size. This new stoves top oven is not as tall, so I can't bake bread in it unless I remove the rack and put a cooling rack inside to set my bread on before baking. And there are a couple other items that I can no longer cook in the upper oven which is a downer, cause we all like to save on electric where we can, so now I need to use my bottom oven more. Love the bottom slide out racks, they move easily. My husband likes that the bottom oven isn't quite as low as our last stove, so he doesn't have to bend over as far, which makes a difference when we're getting older. My one last con is...I can't use 2 large skillets on the same side to cook, there is just not enough room. The burners are set much further back from the front edge of the stove, which can make cooking with large skillets a challenge. Other than that I really do love this stove and would buy it again. I'm ok with making a couple adjustments in my life of cooking.

    Great stove by needs tweaked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I'm very satisfied. Having the burner diagram stamped on the top is ridiculous. One year and they will be wiped off. I put a clear coat of fingernail polish on each to keep them safe. Having two simmer burners is one too many. My old stove had one and that was adequate. It seems a feat too get the top oven rack to come out. It gets hung up. Power big burner is very nice
